If your air conditioning system isn’t working at its optimal level it’s also likely your car is using more fuel than it needs to.  The air conditioning runs off the engine and if it has to work harder to keep things cool then the engine will be under greater pressure and will use more fuel.

Many cars now also come equipped with a cabin filter.  This filters the air entering the car and helps to keep debris and smells out of the car.  Replacing the cabin filter is part of most vehicle logbook services and it can make a significant difference to the performance of your air conditioning system.
